Getting there digital transformation is ongoing . Sponsored by the UCIMU Foundation and with the contribution of Fiera Milano Foundation , ROBOTGAMES makes its debut in 2024 at 34 . BI-MU ( 9-12 October 2024 ).
On Friday 11 October 2024 , the final stage will see a competition among the ten best projects submitted . This will be held in an area dedicated to ROBOTGAMES and set up in one of the halls of 34 . BI-MU . The judging committee will select the top three winners , who will receive thei awards during an ad hoc ceremony in the BI-MUpiù Arena during BI-MU on Saturday 12 October 2024 .
Prizes totalling 20,000 euros , made available by EFIM-ENTE FIERE ITALIANE MACCHINE , will be divided among the three winning teams .
The additive manufacturing boom
“ With a turnover that reached the recordbreaking figure of 16 billion euros in 2022 , additive manufacturing ’ s most important markets are in the United States and in Europe . In this global context , Italy is among the Top 10 for the number of patent applications and second place in the European Union in terms of industrial installations . These positive results show that Italy is a market with very high potential for the development of additive manufacturing , which finds application in numerous and varied fields including pharmaceuticals , healthcare , biomedical engineering , as well as aerospace and transport ,” commented UCIMU .
All these industry sectors will be represented at piùAdditive , the initiative promoted at 34 . BI-MU . For several years now , piùAdditive has become a key event for manufacturers , distributors and users of additive solutions . Of the 50,000 operators visiting the last edition of BI-MU ( 2022 ), 26 %
specifically indicated additive manufacturing as an area of interest .
Capable of ensuring better management of energy resources and materials , today ’ s additive manufacturing is at the centre of the sustainability debate , one of the themes at BI-MU 2024 along with digitalisation .

Visitor opening times at the Fieramilano Rho exhibition centre for the 34 . BI-MU ( from Wednesday 9 October to Friday 11 October 2024 ) are from 09.30 to 18.00 . On Saturday 12 October 2024 , opening hours are from 09.30 to 17.00 . Entrance is free through pre-registration .
By Metro / Bus
The Fieramilano Rho exhibition centre can be reached on the underground M1 Line , whose terminal ( Rho-Fiera ) is located at the “ Porta Est ” Entrance , or by high-speed trains and buses connecting with Milan ’ s city centre .
A fast and extensive network of urban transport services connects the exhibition complex with the city centre of Milan , with railway stations and neighbouring airports , such as Linate and Malpensa . On exhibition days , high-speed trains will stop directly near the exhibition area .
From Milan Linate airport : Take the Metropolitana line 4 blu ( Linate station ) towards San Babila ( Metro Red line 1 for Rho-Fieramilano ). Visitors can also take bus number 73 , Duomo M1-M3 terminus and Metro Red line 1 . Rho-Fieramilano stop .
From Milan Malpensa airport : Visitors can take the Malpensa Express Train to Milano Centrale station ( Milano Porta Garibaldi stop ), then the Metro Lilac line 5 towards San Siro Stadium , Lotto stop , and interchange with Metro Red line 1 for Rho-Fieramilano ( or from Milano Porta Garibaldi S-Line trains S5 , S6 or S11 to Rho- Fieramilano ). They can also take the Malpensa Express Train to Milano Cadorna station , then the Metro Red line 1 towards Rho Fieramilano .
From Orio Al Serio airport : A payable shuttle bus service is available from / to Milano Centrale .
By Car
The exhibition centre can also be easily reached by car via the Milan motorway ring roads . Its car parks have capacity for over 10,000 parking places .
