IFR chooses RobotHeart
Marina Bill , President of IFR ( the International Federation of Robotics ), after her visit to BI-MU in 2022 , chose RobotHeart as the venue for the IFR ’ s Annual Assembly ( 2024 ). RobotHeart targets all manufacturing industries . In an interview last year , after a favourable experience at BI-MU 2022 , she explained the reasons for her choice .
“ We chose Italy because of its increasingly decisive role in the industrial robotics market , its ongoing commitment to issues such as education , training and research , its high-level offering in terms of innovative solutions and the presence of numerous start-ups in the area focused on service-robotics . These are the elements that have most influenced our decision ,” she commented .
“ We decided to organise our meeting at RobotHeart , the area dedicated to robotics and hosted by 34 . BI-MU in Milan . With our presence , we intend to highlight the importance of Italy in the sector , thus honouring its growth and innovative contribution . In addition , the Assembly will take place almost at the end of my term as President of IFR and therefore this meeting will be even more valuable and meaningful for me ,” she added .
The robotics sector , she said , is now a wide and varied ecosystem including multiple figures operating in a variety of disciplines . RobotHeart at BI-MU 2022 hosted manufacturers , system integrators , research organisations , universities and visitors from different fields , in an atmosphere where sharing was encouraged . She wished this aspect of the event to be further enhanced , commenting that “ RobotHeart can and must be a co-creation event , the result of constant dialogue and discussion among the attendees , a place for exchanging ideas and presenting technological innovations , a balanced mix of

ROBOTGAMES for young innovators
ROBOTGAMES is a new contest of robotics and automation aimed at young students from scientific high schools , technical / technological institutes and professional schools . It is designed to stimulate young people to try their hand at making robot automation prototypes , with an eye on application in the world of industry .
“ The key players in the contest will be young people from upper secondary schools ( belonging to scientific high schools , technical / technological institutes and professional institutes ) organised in teams . Each team must include between two and five students and must be coordinated by a teacher ,” outlined UCIMU .
“ The prototypes eligible to compete in ROBOTGAMES must involve the integration of at least two technical disciplines including mechanics , automation , electronics , physics and mathematics-IT . They should be able to perform different tasks and respond to different commands such as , for example , moving objects , detecting elements in the field , moving in space etc . An essential requisite for the admission of a prototype to the contest is its industrial application ,” it continued .
ROBOTGAMES is promoted by UCIMU Academy , an initiative that groups together all the activities carried out by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE , with the aim of bringing young people closer to the manufacturing industry whose
