With a 4-axis back gauge , full-length bends can be made between side columns , with no obstructions , and the machine is almost silent in operation . Its e . TERNA hybrid press brakes differ from
traditional presses as they are fitted with SIEMENS IE3 motors driven by an inverter that , combined with a high-performance pump , controls the main motor and activates it only when the machine starts running . This means zero energy consumption during standby , but energy savings are also made during operation via the Pressure Control system , which provides the required force just for the folding step with a reduction in cycle times .
Fiessler Elektronik GmbH & Co . KG has cited its AKAS 3P as ‘ the first co-moving press brake safety system worldwide which provides high-speed operation up to the clamp point ’. By using the new press brake safety system , it is now possible to operate and close a press brake at high-speed to the clamp point . In addition , the new AKAS ® 3P-CNC features a connection between the CNC control of the press brake and the fully automatic electromotive support of the AKAS ® transmitter and AKAS ® receiver . This allows the adjustment to be carried out from the CNC control or an HMI . Alternatively , the setting can still be started with the existing key switch .
