TIMTOS CALLING
TIMTOS 2021 Hybrid will showcase 6,000 physical booths and 1,000 online exhibitors on 15 March 2021 .

TIMTOS 2021 Hybrid will soon make its debut in a pioneer format as a virtual and physical trade show . The 28th Taipei International Machine Tool Show ( TIMTOS ) will be held in Taiwan at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre , Halls 1 and 2 , and the Taipei World Trade Centre , Exhibition Hall 1 , from 15-20 March 2021 , with nearly 6,000 booths in total . Country pavilions for Switzerland , Germany and the U . S . will be featured at the show . Meanwhile , the virtual exhibition will attract up to 1,000 exhibitors . Both the physical and virtual events will make their debuts concurrently .

Although the physical exhibition will be held from 15-20 March 2021 , online visitors will still be able to access the show , browse and interact with exhibitors from 21 March-15 April 2021

In 2019 , TIMTOS hosted a record 1,230 exhibitors from 26 countries with 7,000 booths , positioning it among the top three machine tool trade shows in the world . The six-day exhibition attracted a total of 53,777 professional visitors , of which 7,511 were from overseas
Although the physical exhibition will be held from 15-20 March 2021 , online visitors will still be able to access the show , browse and interact with exhibitors from 21 March-15 April 2021 . The virtual show offers intuitive user interfaces ; interactive search functionality ; onsite tours ; live streams from the summit ; online procurement meetings ; digital fora ; a guide for online visitors ; the e-official directory and , for pre-registrations , virtual gold coins for a lucky draw .
A hybrid showcase
While the show organisers , the Taiwan External Trade Development Council ( TAITRA ) and the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry ( TAMI ), have devoted themselves to assisting exhibitors to enrich the content of the virtual exhibits , TAITRA has mobilised its overseas offices and affiliated industry associations around the world to invite overseas buyers to visit the online exhibition .
The on-site guide for online visitors features a specialist , carrying a mobile device ( IPad ), leading buyers to their chosen booths for business negotiations . The aim is for both digital and physical exhibitions to help industry professionals ‘ grasp every possible business opportunity ’, according to TAITRA and TAMI .
