To differentiate ourselves, we need to deliver the full and complete solution to our customers. So, we are transforming into a solutions partner, not just a machinery partner

New LogicSteel software

In September 2025, Voortman launched LogicSteel, a new software suite for steel processing.
“ Built for speed, intelligence and collaboration, LogicSteel empowers steel processors to streamline operations, reduce waste and scale productivity, without the traditional software limitations,” Voortman told ISMR.
“ LogicSteel CADCAM streamlines the design-to-production workflow, LogicSteel PRODUCTIVITY delivers real-time insights to boost machine efficiency and LogicSteel MRP gives full control over planning, inventory and cost tracking. Together, they help steel processors work faster, smarter and more collaboratively,” it continued.
LogicSteel also breaks away from conventional software pricing. Instead of charging per user, Voortman offers unlimited access across teams, with pricing based upon the value delivered to production or via a simple license. This approach, it said, removes barriers to automation and encourages company-wide collaboration.
“ A key innovation in the suite is LogicSteel XR, an Extended Reality tool that overlays 3D models onto steel assemblies. By eliminating the need for 2D drawings and manual measurements, XR simplifies quality control and boosts inspection accuracy,” added Voortman.

Strategic and technical focus
Thomas Krone and Stef Rohaan shared the company’ s global market strategy and technical focus with ISMR at the trade show.
“ Steel fabrication is a very important market for us but, through our investments in new processing technologies, software and automation, we are also investing in plate-processing markets. We see room for further development with our new products in the plate-processing industries( for larger manufacturers and service centres who run higher volumes). Our acquisition of Müller Opladen, two years ago, is now bearing fruit with machinery developments for pipeprocessing markets( e. g. offshore, energy and pressure vessel markets). So, we continue to invest in areas serving the six main industries where we believe we can bring value,” outlined Thomas Krone.
“ With our new factory in the U. S. and
our new local offices in Europe, we want to continue investing. We are pleased to see that Middle-Eastern markets are now really developing with ongoing large projects. We are also investing in these markets and will be at the SteelFab exhibition in Sharjah in 2026. We will not hesitate to invest in markets where we see potential,” he continued.
The skilled labour shortage( e. g. welders, machine operators etc.) is a serious problem for many of Voortman’ s customers. Automation has bridged this gap( Voortman’ s Fabricator machine is a prime example) but Krone highlighted that Voortman’ s customers still wish to see more automation in welding work and more processes around a machine. This, he explained, is ongoing work for Voortman as it continues to innovate and enhance its technologies and automation.
“ With our new product introductions, there is a clear strategy. Over the last couple of years, we have really been focusing on software, machines and services. We are constantly looking to add more value. This means analysing a customer’ s machine date and supporting them with the insights and value generated through this data. It also includes training for customer operators. We know what our customers want and the levels of flexibility that they need,” confirmed Stef Rohaan.
“ To differentiate ourselves, we need to deliver the full and complete solution to our
