This prevents remnants from falling from the upper to the lower table and causing collisions . The storage system can be operated in automatic or semiautomatic mode , as well as in manual mode using its manually loadable , single-sheet pallet .

Turkish manufacturer , Baykal , has fibre laser cutting systems such as the BLS-1530 and BLS-NEO . The BLS Series fibre laser cutting systems cover a wide range of industrial applications . Manufactured with an “ All-in-One Box ” design structure , the BLS has a built-in resonator and a chiller with dual motorised tables . A range of fibre power sources are available . The BLS uses a new generation , high-performance linear axis system with rack and pinion .
“ With fibre laser technology , there is no need to move the laser source or sheet , enabling high-speed , high-accuracy cutting and dual full-size pallet maximum production throughput . Machines have a simple and user-friendly operator interface , as well as an extensive cutting database ,” the company told ISMR .
The BLS-NEO fibre laser cutting machine uses two-dimensional drawings over the flat plate by moving the focused infrared light along the programmed pathways to cut . Different gases are used to eject melted material from the surface of plate .
With its new laser output of 15 kilowatts , Bystronic ’ s ByStar Fiber cuts steel , aluminium and stainless steel with a thickness from one to 30mm and brass and copper of up to 20mm with high precision . This increases its laser power by up to 50 per cent , enabling sheet metal processing companies to further optimise their production processes .
“ On average , due to the 15kW laser , the cutting speed of the ByStar Fiber increases by up to 50 per cent ( when cutting with nitrogen ) compared to a 10kW laser source ,” said the Swiss sheet metal specialist .
The 15kW laser output now also enables extended applications in steel and aluminium of up to 50mm and flexibility for large batches and urgent customer orders . The new power level is available for the ByStar Fiber 3015 , the ByStar Fiber 4020 and new for the ByStar Fiber 6225 and the ByStar Fiber 8025 . It is controlled using ByVision Cutting software via a 21.5-inch touch screen .

It has also expanded its ByStar Fiber laser cutting system with the extra-large 6225 and 8025 formats . This is designed to increase the productivity of fibre laser cutting and the diversity of cutting applications . It has also expanded the ByStar Fiber laser cutting system with rotary axis for tube processing . The function enables users to switch between flatbed laser cutting and tube processing in a few steps .
The BeamShaper function is designed to ensure clean cutting edges and high operational reliability across the entire range of sheet metal thicknesses up to 30mm . It enables the shape of the laser beam to be adapted to thicker sheets and fluctuating sheet metal qualities .

For manufacturers who wish to produce a prototype or test new material , LXN allows them to choose between coil-fed processing ( for small , medium and large batches , and strong material savings ) and sheet-fed processing ( if , for example , they need to frequently change the type of material ).
