Global 3D scanning specialist Artec 3D develops hardware and software in Luxembourg for reverse engineering and inspection across a range of industries. The company’ s handheld scanners include the LEO( a wireless, portable 3D scanner with an inbuilt touchscreen and intuitive UI for 3D scanning). Artec 3D’ s Spider II is designed to capture ultra highresolution scans of complex objects, intricate details and sharp edges in full colour with no targets needed. The Point is an industrial handheld 3D laser scanner for capturing smallto-large objects in metrologygrade accuracy( for applications such as product design and quality control).
“ The Artec Spider II is designed to easily capture complex objects, sharp edges and fine lines, with an impressive level of detail. The 3D scanner’ s 0.05mm resolution means that everything from inscriptions on a coin to larger industrial parts of an engine is faithfully digitised. The data captured is of top quality, representing flawless geometry acquisition in a rich colour palette for true-to-life 3D models. A fast capture rate plus no targets needed means scanning is effortless and intuitive, while ensuring

that no detail is missed,” explained Artec 3D.
Eva is the company’ s longest-serving 3D scanner. The structuredlight Eva is designed to be rapid and versatile, capturing data for small and medium-sized objects.
The company’ s other 3D scanning solutions include the Ray II( a laser, long-range 3D scanner which creates digital twins of large to massive objects) and the Micro II( a fivemicron accuracy desktop 3D scanner with full automation for small and extra-small items). The Artec metrology kit is a twomicron accuracy measurement and reverse engineering solution.
In January, Artec 3D announced a global partnership with metrology software development company, InnovMetric, which is now integrated with Artec Studio. n
