BTH Import Steel in Poland boasts a coilto-coil line that features two Timesavers ’ 71- series finishing machines . These heavy-duty machines can process 1.5km of stainlesssteel coil without interruption or manual intervention .
“ Processing coil material is much more efficient than sheet-to-sheet both in terms of throughput and production costs ,” commented Tomasz Kotarba , a Board Member of the family-owned business . For the past 18 years , BTH Import Steel has worked with Timesavers on a variety of projects .
Timesavers provides two machines for coil finishing . The wet working 71 series and the dry working 72 series . Depending upon the size of the sheet metal rolls , users can opt for working widths of 1350mm , 1600mm or 2100mm . The machines can be equipped with two abrasive belts , two brushes or a combination of both .
“ Each machine head can be operated separately , allowing for a variety of surface finishes . We value ease of use . Therefore , a grinding belt can easily be changed to another grit size . Users can choose the right grit of belts to achieve the required surface roughness and finish on the coil . Coils are efficiently finished at speeds of up to 30m / minute ,” added Timesavers International , a Dutch surface finishing specialist .
Designed for continuous operation , these grinding machines can be seamlessly
integrated into fully automated production lines . They are built to withstand heavy-duty use in industrial environments .
“ If required , the machine can be purchased as a turnkey project . Everything can then be taken care of from dust extractors or water filter units to roller tables , a protective film coating machine , a decoiler , levelling machine and other accessories ,” concluded Timesavers . n
