Sheet-holding feature for MHSU shear

The MHSU motorised shear , from Hans Schröder Maschinenbau GmbH , is an entry-level solution with numerous options . It has now been redesigned and the most important new feature is a patented sheetholding device that is designed to increase handling flexibility . In addition , sheets can now be processed from coil .
“ Up to now , with the option of the sheetholding device , users had to decide how [ the shear ] should handle the cuttings . With the new patented sheet-holding device for the MHSU , we offer a versatile electronically controlled mechanism . The device can either guide sheet cuttings to the front into the sheet chute or to the rear onto a stacking cart ,” explained Schröder .
“ For particularly sensitive surfaces , the sheet-holding device can also remain horizontal so that the cut material can be removed from the machine manually . This setting is also suitable for dividing sheets . The option of defining the forwarding of the cut material for each cut in the control system can be used as a scrap selector : For example , the trimming cut is fed to the sheet chute at the front and the good parts to the rear onto the stacking cart ,” it added .
The geometry of the hold-down device has been modified to offer more operating freedom , and a small parts chute makes

The new patented MHSU sheet-holding device . it easier to handle particularly narrow sections . Another new feature is the coil feed-through with safety package . The sheet-holding device and back gauge are lowered to create space for feeding through sheets of any length .
The MHSU is still available in different versions ( from 1,000-3,200mm working lengths and for sheet thicknesses ranging from 1.5-4mm . Various drive capacities are also available . In continuous operation , the MSHU reportedly achieves 34 strokes per minute .
The Schröder Group consists of Hans Schröder Maschinenbau GmbH , in Wessobrunn-Forst ( Germany ), Schröder- Fasti Technologie GmbH in Wermelskirchen ( Germany ) and SMU GmbH in Leinburg- Weißenbrunn . Founded in 1949 , Hans Schröder Maschinenbau GmbH is a family-owned company , specialising in the development of modern machine concepts for bending and cutting sheet metal .
The successful integration of the Fasti Company in 2006 and its worldwide presence make the Schröder Group one of the leading providers of machines for bending , cutting , beading , flanging and circular bending all types of sheet metal . In 2021 , the Schröder Group was expanded by the tool manufacturer , SMU GmbH . Overall , the Schröder Group currently employs more than 300 people at various international locations . n

Mapping for robotic material transporter

Kivnon , a global specialist in the production of Autonomous Mobile Robots ( AMRs ) and Automated Guided Vehicles ( AGVs ), has announced the integration of intelligent mapping navigation into its K05 Twister robot . This feature caters to users seeking enhanced flexibility and higher-density storage and retrieval capabilities , surpassing the limitations of traditional magnetic floor strips . By embracing mapping navigation , businesses can achieve higher storage density while eliminating the need for a physical guidance infrastructure , making workflow adjustments easier in response to changing business needs .
“ In today ’ s dynamic business environment , manufacturers face increased volatility , intricate product requirements , and rising floor-space costs . To address these challenges , we ’ ve introduced laser-guided mapping navigation to our popular K05 mobile system , empowering businesses to implement high-density storage strategies and adapt them almost instantly . not only streamlines operations and reduces costs but also accelerates product delivery . It also enhances the aesthetics of the workspace , providing a more visually appealing environment ,” said Xavier Munells , Director of Product Management , Kivnon .
The K05 mapping relies on its location and navigation based on elements present in the environment . It is equipped with laser sensors that collect essential data about the physical environment , such as walls and landmarks , to generate a virtual map where paths and tasks for the unit are established . The ability to set routes and tasks on a virtual map eliminates the need for physical elements such as RFID tags , allowing for increased density of actions in a physical area and greatly facilitating modifications to the circuit of the units .
The K05 Twister AGV is designed to optimise the transport of medium loads in specific processes and small spaces . Its compact chassis measures 800mm x 800mm x 280mm . It can carry up to 450kg onboard and tow up to 1,000kg on a wheeled trolley , reaching speeds of up to 1m / s along cyclical or conditional circuits .
“ The AGV is capable of precise stops and seamless interaction with other AGVs / AMRs , machines , systems and fleet management systems , including those based on VDA 5050 standards . The new model could come with a lifting table or retractable PINs options and boasts a 360 º rotation on its axis . With rechargeable lithium batteries , as well as laser scanners and safety PLCs , the vehicle offers high safety standards ,” said Kivnon . n
