FIELD TRIP TO THE
HAUPTMAN-WOODWARD
MEDICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE
This was a special meeting. We met in
Dr. William Duax’s lab.
Three students from City Honors High
School presented their summer
research to the parent PLC group.
Dr. Duax runs a summer program that is
open to BPS students, wherein high
school students perform genetics and
bioinformatics research at the institute.
This provides the student with both
theoretical knowledge as well as
practice.
It was announced after the
presentation that students from any of
the ISEP schools would be supported
with a monetary stipend if they
participate.
