In Chapter Questions:
Casual Gaming: You, Me, and Wii
1. What process would you use if you were designing a new computer game?
I would do research to understand what my target audience wanted and was looking for in a computer game.
2. How would the process of determining system requirements differ if you were designing a new payroll system versus a new game?
While there are a wide number target audiences for a video game, payroll system needs can be more narrowly defined. Instead of being innovative, as I would creating a computer game, a payroll system would focus more on ease of use, instead of fun.
3. How important is system testing for a online game versus a traditional type of software, such as a payroll system?
I think both are equally important to the end user. Regardelss of the output or the target audience, both programs need to be efficient for use. There are a wide variety of payroll sysems and computer games, so switching to a better system with minimual flaws would be an easy solition for a company that experienced difficulity with their software.
