Competitors spotted a snake wrapped up
under a rock they were winching over. It
wasn‘t long before it disappeard deeper
into the crevices.
PICK-A-POINT
SS14 ProComp Pick-a-Point was located at the back
of Fraser Range Caravan Park at a set of ranges called
Milky Wells. This was a peg board stage, started
at sunrise, where teams grab a GPS point from the
board and go get them, then come back for another
etc until time is up.
Winner is the team to collect the most GPS points
across the rugged terrain and go through the
compulsory drive through cones on the winch wall at
least once during the allocated time.
The winch wall caused much excitement as a resident
snake was spotted under the rocks the dirvers were
winching over. Kevin and Jack Straw (car #13)
unfortunately got stuck on the winch wall. Other
teams had to then winch off them and drive around
and back on course to get through the remaining
cones.
