Traditional arts in Japan is not only acknowledged for their
“less is more” ideology that delivers such as a powerful
punch, but it was also the thoughtfulness and emotions
invested within their genres and styles that enables their
native traditions to truly the past and present.
The embracement of the human imagination in Japan can
be dated back since the Heian Period, but one of the most
prominent age that established a common love for the
country and a prosperous beginning in the Japanese
culture, was the Edo Period (1603 – 1868).
CLASS SYSTEM
Deemed as the golden age, the military leader or the
shogunate, Tokugawa, established his own government
after centuries of war and conflict, and embarked on a social
hierarchy system. He visualized a division of two major
class. Those with prominent status, and four subdivision
classes: Samurai, Peasants, Artisans and Merchants.
