What’s happening
around the district

The Brawley Middle School volleyball team won first
place in the Middle School Conference Championship
Tournament. The team went 12-0 in their regular season.

One Goal... One Team....Every Child... Every Day at
Central Elementary School.

Ainsley from Coddle Creek Elementary was awarded honorable
mention for her math project at the state math fair. In May, she
was invited to present her math project “Food is Fun” (about
counting the calories that she eats) at the North Carolina
Council for Teachers of Mathematics conference in Greensboro.

Construction is taking place at Cool Spring Elementary
School with a new addition and a high school-sized gym,
which will be able to serve an additional 200 students.
Plans are to open in the fall of 2016.

Sargent Rambo and Officer Turner from the Statesville
Police Department treated Pressley Elementary students
to pizza for their good behavior.
