In the afternoon, Crosby Scholar students
were invited into the community by Iredell
employers to showcase the real world of
work! Employees were engaging and eager to
showcase their facilities and theories. Students
were in awe to see what goes on behind the
closed doors of buildings – things they never
paid much attention to before. Tours, gift bags
and a lot of real life stories from the people
who lived them were shared. Both groups were
impressed, that is for sure.
Careers are complicated. Choosing the best
college major or next-best step for their student
can save families a lot of time and money.
Crosby Scholars believes that starting early and
having opportunities like these help students
aspire to new heights on a path to success that
suits the student. Crosby Scholars could not do
these inspirational experiences without amazing
scholars, people who support them, I-SS, and
Iredell County who invest in students, making this
a great place to live.
