STEADY GROWTH OF LABEL INDUSTRY
IN INDIA
“The label industry as I understand
is growing at a stable rate of 10–12%
per annum. If we look at the Indian
label industry in comparison to the
global market such as Europe or US,
I think we’re still struggling at single
digits in terms of consumption of self-
adhesive labels. There is undoubtedly
a tremendous scope for growth in the
industry,” says Dani.
Maharshi has been bringing one
or the other kind of innovation every
now and then to come up with newer
and improved technologies. In fact,
the first self-adhesive label machine
was introduced to the Indian market
by Maharshi. The company, however,
does not plan to participate at the
Labelexpo India show, according to
Dani.

Technofour shows
multi-head weighers and check weighers

O
ver a span of 40 years,
Technofour has installed
nearly 10,000 metal detector
systems and around 4,000 to 5,000
check weighers across the globe.
“Basically the metal detectors are used
to detect contaminants, something
that is of vital importance in the
pharmaceutical industry. Normally,
during the production process, there
are high chances of contamination and
the manufacturers need a full-proof
solution to overcome such situations.
Similarly, check weighers are also
quite important for inspection. They
help avoid losses incurred by brand
owners and have their own role to
play in the food and pharmaceutical
industries. Hence, our solutions are
always in demand and we manage to
find customers across the globe,” says
Nagesh Vaidya,
marketing manager of
Technofour Electronics

LOOKING AT THE US MARKET
The company operates from Germany,
some of the African countries,
European countries, China, Vietnam,
Japan and Australia, among others.
Though Technofour doesn’t have units
at these countries, it sells its products
there through agents. Technofour is
now looking at supplying to the US
market.
Technofour Electronics
Manufacturing is a manufacturer of
multi-head systems, check-weighing
systems and pin-hole detection
systems. At the recent Propak
exhibition in Greater Noida, the
company displayed metal detecting
systems for the pharmaceutical,
snacks and confectionery, and FMCG
sectors. Technofour also manufactures
check weighers for similar industry
sectors. It manufactures pin-hole
detectors which use the wet sponge
principle to detect through pin-holes,
cracks and other damaged areas on
both conductive and non-conductive
substrates.
