SAM VLASICH (Lead Vocals): Sam Vlasich--remember this name--you’ll be hearing it
again. This vocal powerhouse brings a swagger and confidence to the stage that
combines Bon Scott, Robert Pant and Steven Tyler.
TOM BOISSE (Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals): Lead guitarist Tom Boisse has the chops of
a seasoned veteran born to play bluesy riffs from the 1970’s--hypnotic, grungy, dirty riffs
that hook you into anything RSM is playing.
GARY BOISSE (Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals): Gary Boisse is probably the best
bassist you’ve never heard of--until now. He’s one half of a very solid rhythm section of
RSM that sounds and plays like they’ve been together for 20 years.
BARRETT GOEMAN (Drums): Barrett once told me he started playing drums at four
years old--I don’t believe him. I think he started at birth and he’s actually from another
planet where everyone plays drums and he was sent here to show all the other drummers
how it’s supposed to be done. The kid’s an amazingly talented drummer that always gives
100% to the music without ego or pretention.
Red Sky Mary is definitely on its way to becoming a household name. I’d like to be the first
one to say this --but many up here in the New England area already know this--Red Sky
Mary is the next “big thing” in Rock ‘n’ Roll. It’s like this…remember when Van Halen,
Aerosmith and The Black Crowes all came out with their first albums, how exciting it
was to hear these new bands with their raw power and pure Rock and Roll sound?
Remember how awesome it was to hear new bands with charismatic, powerful singers,
soulful guitar masters and pounding rhythm sections? That is how exciting it is to be a Red
Sky Mary fan right now. If you haven’t heard them yet, download “River Child” and start
there--you’ll be hooked within the first two tracks. If you’re already a fan, hold on tight
because this wild ride is just getting started.
By the time this gets published, RSM will have just gotten back from their tour with Carved
Records teammates, Texas Hippie Coalition. Touring in support of their instant classic
album “River Child”, RSM is out there proving to the rest of the country what we here in
New England have know for quite some time.
