“We’ve been screwed,
overcharged, underpaid, and
abused. We’ve been avoided and
exploited and falsely accused.
We’ve been cut down, let down,
fucked around, TIED AND
BOUND. But nothing can take the
music away.” (“Tied and Bound”
chorus)
Dagda: I can take a pretty good
guess about where the name
Leaving Eden came from. Can
you explain why you settled on
that name?
Eric: This whole planet is Eden
right here in the present. We are in
the garden living in a fishbowl. We
look up at the stars and know that
there is so much out there. Yet we
are stuck here, we cannot leave, we
are trapped. We are fish in a
fishbowl. It would be cool if we
could go somewhere else that
wasn’t full of deceit; the snakes.
People have come up to me seeing
the snake in our logo and think that
we are evil. The snake represents a
very dominant force in this Garden
of Eden.
