KOKOMO … not heard of them? To get a feel for this“ funkified” band, think Average White Band … which was one of the bands that Kokomo toured with.
Kokomo is comprise of ten members, and today, there are still 7 of the original that remain. The band was formed back in the 1970’ s, and came to fame playing funky soul music in the pubs and clubs of London. The members of Kokomo have an impressive resume of appearances in their repertoire that boasts a veritable“ Who’ s Who” of recognizable names-- such as King Crimson, Joe Cocker, The Who, Elton John, David Gilmour, Bryan Ferry, and countless others. As a quick side note, back in“ the day”, this was the only other band managed by Steve O’ Rourke, of Pink Floyd fame.
