ION: As you know, music is a business…can you speak to that for our readers that
either are artists or are honing their craft and want to make this their life’s work? What,
in your opinion, is the most effective way to position yourself to rise above this current
saturated market?
SEBASTIAN: Go against the grain, and stop following the crowd. I don’t want to talk about
ourselves in a way that makes it sound like “we made it” or that I’m satised where we are,
because this is just the beginning. But what has set us apart from other bands and something
that I am very proud of, is that we go where our heart tells us, and we do NOT do certain things
only because that’s what most people think you have to do in order to make it. I’m talking about
playing certain festivals, or relocating to certain cities, or sounding like this, or looking like
that
