Says Scott, “From the beginning, Alice Sweet Alice has done
everything on our own--good or bad. Like many bands, we
have learned from our successes and failures. Since ASA's
inception in 2007, from time to time, we have reached out to
labels, management companies, booking agencies and
artist management companies, but hadn’t found a company
that really fit into what we are looking for as a DIY artist and
a group that wants to firmly maintain control of our artistic
integrity and overall future. ASA is currently in a state of
personnel reorganization and revamping, but our musical
direction and passion--as well as our key songwriters are
together and stronger than ever before. By the time our
newest material comes out, we will be ready to resume
playing regionally and hopefully, nationally.”
Alice Sweet Alice is currently regrouping and writing new material, with the core members of Scott and Ali
Kat being still firmly at the helm. ASA’s fan base is loyal and rabid--partly due to the accessibility of band
members and their commitment to the fans. As Scott Martinez puts it, “It is our #1 priority, outside of our
music, to communicate with our fans and make them feel like they are members of a family--our family.”
Some things are just meant to be--not unlike Mrs. Harris’s reunion with her beloved “Fly Boy”. It’s called
“destiny”. I suppose it could be said that Alice Sweet Alice falls in that category, based on how we became
acquainted. And judging by what I’ve heard, I also think it’s safe to say that Alice Sweet Alice is realizing
their own DESTINY—possessed with the same enduring spirit that also drove Peggy Harris’s heart to
persevere…undaunted. Learn more about ASA at: www.alicesweetalice.com
