JB: If given the chance to host your own talk show, who would be your first guest?
AW: From a musician side, it would be Carrie Underwood. I would love to hear about
her work process and how she improves and conquers her hurdles. My normal side says
Tom Hiddleston. He's my favorite actor and had such a great personality; it would be fun
to have an interview with him.
JB: How has your expectations of being a musician and the reality of being a musician
differed?
AW: Looking at a singer/songwriter from the outside, it seems like all they do is
perform, record and write. Pretty glamorous right? Nobody tells you that it takes forever
to record a song and get it the way you want it. Nobody tells you that you have to become
a businesswoman. And nobody tells you that you are basically working by yourself. It's
a beautiful and hard lifestyle, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. My fans make
everything worth it.
JB: What venue would you love to play that you haven't played yet?
AW: I think it would be amazing to sell out the University of Phoenix Stadium in my
home town. If I ever reach that point, it would be a
very sentimental day. To play for a crowd like that
where I grew up and started my musical journey
would be an honor.
JB: Where do you see yourself in five years? Have
you set any long term goals for your career?
AW: It's hard to see where I'll be in five years. The
future is so unpredictable, it's almost impossible to
have a certain plan. Though, I would like to think
that I'll have a Bachelor’s Degree and be successful
in my music career. I have points in my career I'd
like to reach--like touring around the country.
Though, I take it one day at a time and continue to
work hard at my craft. The rest will fall into place
when it is time and my hard work has paid off.
