Story and Photography by Chris Wurtinger • CW Snaps • www.CWSnaps.com As a student, I went to a Lutheran school. I was constantly told that KISS, AC/DC and RUSH--as well as many other bands-were bad and that I would go to hell for listening to them. I used to listen to FRANK ZAPPA and others in secret. Lots of times I thought I was the only one anywhere that listened to some of the “bad” stuff I loved. Like Punk--I loved the early SEX PISTOLS and THE CLASH. And, as time went on, RANCID and NOFX. Then for a while, as an adult, I kind of lost touch with my love of punk. Fast forward a bit, to just a few years ago--I realized I was getting fat and needed to hit the gym. I started doing some YouTube serving and tripped across one of my favorites, RANCID’S “Ruby Soho”. It brought back a flush of Punk. Soon I was searching everything I could find…burning up the treadmill, “punking” all the way!
