Students in Culinary Arts II
classes made Lemon Meringue
Pies,
creating
all
three
components from scratch. The
activity took place during an
egg cookery unit, so students
used the yolk in the filling, and
the egg whites to make the
meringue.
POTTERY II
Ms. Bloomer
The pottery class is “putting
a lid on it.” The wheel group
is learning how to throw
lids off a hump and how to
make them fit on the vessels.
The students who are hand
building are designing a
vessel where the lid is the
focal point.
