Toilet paper, tooth picks, paper, tissues, paper towels, napkins, and paper cups. These are things we use every day and don’ t think about where they go or where they came from. For my ILP I chose the topic deforestation. Deforestation is an important topic and it needs to be stopped. Imagine a world where there are no trees and everywhere you look there is only desert. By 2050 scientist believe that there will be no more trees. The three main reasons that are causing deforestation are Logging, forest fires, and human development( building neighborhoods, cities,
Logging
Logging is when they cut down trees for wood and paper products. Every day, about an average of 214000 acres of rain forests are diapering. The annual rate is an area twice the size of Poland. One tree equals about a stack of newspapers the size of an average teenager. Cutting down trees also causes climate changes. When a tree is cut down, all of the carbon dioxide that is stored in side is released into the atmosphere and destroys the ozone layer helping to cause global warming. We can stop logging by protesting, conserving paper products, recycling, or starting a recycle program at your school. etc.) are the 3 main reasons that are causing deforestation.
