What is a zoo?

When you were little did you ever go to a zoo? If you have do you know the real meaning of a zoo? The formal term for a zoo is a zoological garden. A zoological garden is an area where animals are kept for studying and peoples entertainment.

Why do we have zoos?

Most people go to the zoo just to see animals, but there are other reasons people go to the zoo. Zoos are important for three things. Education, conservation, and studies. Zoos are getting a lot more better than how they use to be. They are also caring for the animals more.

In the 70 ' s animals were kept in cages with metal bars. They ate a lot but they ate food that was not in their diet. Animals were crucially harmed. The visitors were able to touch them and they would get killed or really injured from visitors touching them. Both animals and people.
