What is a zoo ?

When you were little did you ever go to a zoo ? If you have do you know the real meaning of a zoo ? The formal term for a zoo is a zoological garden . A zoological garden is an area where animals are kept for studying and peoples entertainment .

Why do we have zoos ?

Most people go to the zoo just to see animals , but there are other reasons people go to the zoo . Zoos are important for three things . Education , conservation , and studies . Zoos are getting a lot more better than how they use to be . They are also caring for the animals more .

When animals were treated bad !

In the 70 ' s animals were kept in cages with metal bars . They ate a lot but they ate food that was not in their diet . Animals were crucially harmed . The visitors were able to touch them and they would get killed or really injured from visitors touching them . Both animals and people .

Zoos were horrible back in 1995 so they remodeled it so the animals can feel like they are in their actual habitat . The zoos were in bad condition . They were dirty , nasty , and filthy . An animal works best in habitats they were meant to
