What is water pollution?
We have the same water as the dinosaurs did and yet we are treating the water worse. Water pollution is a result the water being contaminated. Without treatment, water pollution can be deadly, and affect the water that we drink. If water pollution continues it can become a threat to our health and wildlife.
What causes water pollution?
Leaks from many factories can cause water pollution. It can kill and harm living things. Marine dumping is a source of water pollution. Litter like a 6-ring pack packages can cause death to marine animals if they get the ring stuck around their neck. Oil pollution is a harmful chemical that is dense and hard to clean out of water. We use oil and depend on it; we use it daily for everyday needs, like cooking food with that substance. Another cause of water pollution is humans. We use chemicals to clean the house and those chemicals usually end up in bodies of water. If we dispose of chemicals the correct way, and not down the drain, we can prevent pollution to the water around us.
How can we treat water pollution?
One way we can treat water pollution is Ozone wastewater treatment. This process breaks down pollutants in the water source. It can be very harmful to humans, because of the radiations used, and doesn’ t remove dissolved materials or salt. Water pollution can be treated by Septic tanks and sewage treatment. It helps clear out polluted water from the sewage system. Sewage water needs multiple steps to become water we drink, and one way we get sewage water clean is by Industrial water treatment.
