NeoBiota

NeoBiota, a leading open-access journal dedicated to biological invasions, welcomes a new team of Editors-in-Chief. Joining the leadership are Phil Hulme, Andrew (“Sandy”) Liebhold, Ana Novoa, and Tammy Robinson, who bring a wealth of expertise and fresh perspectives to the journal.

They will eventually take over from Ingolf Kühn, who has led NeoBiota since its founding in 2011, shaping it into a premier platform for invasion science. Reflecting on this transition, Ingolf remarked, “After more than 13 years, I thought it was time to pass the torch to a dedicated team. We envisioned our dream team, and luckily, they all agreed without hesitation.”

With a broad international representation and expertise across invasion science, biosecurity, management and policy, the new editorial team aims to maintain NeoBiota’s reputation for excellence while expanding its global reach.

NeoBiota continues to thrive, ranking among the top journals in biodiversity conservation and ecological modeling, with a Journal Impact Factor of 3.8 and a Scopus CiteScore of 8.1 (2023). The journal remains committed to open-access publishing, rapid review processes, and high-quality interdisciplinary research.

Stay tuned for exciting developments under this dynamic new leadership!
