adjust the ingredients,” said Adams.
“... I love talking to customers,
and I love knowing what they want.
If somebody is craving this food
or that food. Like we had some-
one craving pancakes, which are
extremely high in carbohydrates.
We created a low-in-carbohydrates,
high-in-protein version. It’s mainly
about listening to customers and
giving them what they want. Some-
times it doesn’t work out, but a lot
of times it does.”
Customers can just walk right in
and grab a pre-prepared meal in a
handy container out of the refrig-
eration unit. They can then take it
home or to work and heat it up, hav-
ing a healthy version of a favorite
food ready to go.
“There’s no cooking, no cleaning,”
said Adams. “All the hard part is
done and taken care of by us.”
Since locating in Somerset,
they’ve added to their offerings,
and actually over more than 2,000
different menu items available.
Those interested can go on www.
zilla-meals.com and build their own
custom meal. There are also a wide
assortment of ready-to-go meals
waiting in the store each day.
“Here in the store, we have grilled
chicken meals -- you can pair that
with a vegetable and a carbohy-
drate source,” said Adams. “We also
have lean ground turkey, salmon
and steak. You can get that in single
portion and double portion.
“Our weekly menu rotates every
week,” he added. “It’s still a vari-
ety of food that you would nor-
mally see on what you consider a
‘clean-eating program.’ We’re able to
keep the same great taste and just
manipulate the ingredients so that
it falls more into a healthier lifestyle
without over-indulging on fats and
calories.”
Adams knows that New Year’s
Resolutions often don’t make it too
far past the new year. Zilla Meals
is here to help make those goals a
reality all year long.
“It happens every year. You go
January, February, March, and it
starts to get hard, and everybody
falls back off,” said Adams. “Here at
Zilla Meals, it’s never been easier.”
