Chamber of Commerce luncheons, theater productions, conventions, and training programs are just a sampling of the events and activi- M arch 2020 ties that take place at the Center. The Center’s programs large- ly serve 900,000 residents in a 45-county primary service area in Southern and Eastern Kentucky, but Lawson said his team is “committed to constantly expanding our capa- bilities” throughout Kentucky and the nation. “We have accomplished so much in twenty-four years,” Lawson said, “but we still have a lot of work to do.” I n T ouch with S outhern K entucky • 9
