NEW ! CAREGIVER COMMUNITY GROUP Caring for an ill loved one is one of the hardest jobs in the world . Join us to build strength through support and connection with others in similar situations . This group is facilitated by social workers and counselors from Associates in Family Medicine and Pathways . No cost to attend , registration is encouraged but not required . CIRCLES OF HOPE : FAMILIES GROWING THROUGH GRIEF Support group for families with young children . Take the opportunity to connect with others who share a similar experience , identify and learn healthy ways of coping with grief as well as honoring your loved ones . ON OUR OWN A Widowed Person ’ s Discussion Group – This ongoing group offers an opportunity to find practical guidance and hope . You may share your story , exchange coping skills and receive encouragement from other people who are rebuilding their lives after the death of a spouse . No fee , no registration required . MEN ’ S GRIEF SUPPORT Grief support group for men who have experienced the loss of loved one . This discussion group will address the unique and important issues that men experience when going through the grief process . First Wednesday of each month 6:30-8 pm March 7 , April 4 , May 2
HEALING HEARTS – CREATIVE SELF-CARE ART GROUP This group is for adults grieving or coping with serious illness and would like to create more self-care in their lives . You will learn how to utilize art to increase your confidence with self-care . All skill levels are welcome . Monthly projects and supplies are provided , and participants may also bring their own projects with supplies . Completed projects can be donated to Pathways Hospice patients and families . Meets third Tuesday of the month from 10 a . m . -noon March 20 , April 17 , May 15 , June 19
Partner Spotlight : WindSong Memory Care at Northridge
Pathways has greatly appreciated our ongoing relationship with WindSong Memory Care in Greeley and the stellar care they provide their residents .
WindSong is a 52-unit memory care community specializing in the Montessori Inspired Lifestyle Approach to Dementia Care , which means that their services are based on one of the five levels of care according to the medical , functional and psychosocial status of the resident . They use this approach to foster purposeful and meaningful lives for those with Alzheimer ’ s and other dementias .
Our staff enjoys working with WindSong to not only provide expert hospice and palliative care but also to coordinate educational seminars , training sessions and support groups . We value WindSong ’ s compassionate and skilled staff , as well as their strong emphasis on honoring each individual they serve .
On every Wednesday in March , WindSong will be hosting Lunch & Learn sessions so that the community can learn more about WindSong and the Montessori Inspired Lifestyle Approach that they offer and also tour the facility .
