INTERNSHIPS
We classify internships into two types:

credit-bearing, and
non-credit-bearing.

3.1 CREDIT-BEARING INTERNSHIPS:
• are built into your degree programme curriculum;
• contribute towards your graduating requirements
(hence, earn academic units);
• have stipulated full-time durations
(such as 10 weeks, 12 weeks, 20 weeks or 22 weeks);
• are scheduled during specific periods of your studies in NTU;
• are formally assessed by both organisation supervisors and faculty supervisors;
• may be compulsory or optional, depending on how your degree programme is
structured (Refer to the section 7 on “NTU Internship Schedule” to see whether
an internship is compulsory or optional for you);
• are managed by NTU’s Career & Attachment Office (CAO).
