Job Summary

The Porter Intern is a highly guest-facing role responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the casino property. This position supports Internal Maintenance and works closely with other departments, including the Beverage department, to uphold cleanliness standards across gaming floors, restrooms, dining venues, and common areas.
The intern will gain hands on experience in hospitality cleaning procedures, customer service, time management, and safe use of cleaning tools and equipment. This role requires extensive walking, standing, and working in warm or smoking environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Interact with guests in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and management
• Maintain familiarity with property layout, promotions, and events to assist guests
• Support the Beverage Department by collecting bottles, glasses, and waste materials
• Perform waste management tasks including trash collection, replacing liners, and operating trash compactors
• Ensure cleanliness of self-serve beverage stations and all assigned areas
• Clean and maintain gaming floor areas: dusting, wiping, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, chair movement, and surface sanitation
• Clean restrooms including toilets, urinals, sinks, counters, mirrors, partitions, rugs, and trash areas
• Safely clean and dispose of bodily fluids including blood, vomit, urine, feces, and other waste when required
• Work on feet for long periods and navigate warm or smoking environments
• Perform additional maintenance or cleaning tasks as assigned
