INTERNATIONAL TUTORS’ MAGAZINE
GOODBYES
FROM THE ITs
It's been another year of teaching, running programs, and putting on educational and fun
events for the International Tutor Team! Some ITs may return to EdUHK in the future,
some may move to other opportunities in Hong Kong, while some might be spending their
final days here! But no matter what lies in the future, the IT Team as a whole would like to
take this chance to say end-of-year goodbyes to our students, EdUHK, and Hong Kong!
Marcus Bennevall: I want to thank all my students for both their patience
with me and their keen interest in what I have been teaching. I hope you
have learned as much from me as I have from you! A big thank you also
to my colleagues, who have showed me different teaching methods and
perspectives on life through their diverse backgrounds and skill sets. This
is exactly why I chose to leave Sweden and spend time abroad. Now,
however, it's time for me to say goodbye and go back home. My family
and friends have missed me, and I have missed them. Perhaps I will return
to Hong Kong; perhaps even to EdUHK - but if not, I wish you all the best
in the future and hope we can both cherish the memories we have of each other.
Fel Castañeda: Another year comes and goes, and though today it looks
very much like it did yesterday, EdUHK has changed a lot since I
first got here. I first arrived in Hong Kong 3 years ago and I have
learnt a lot since. I have learnt that there is no passing through a
place without taking something with you and leaving something
behind. I take with me a lot of friendships and memories of my
time here. I leave behind is the ASLLC, my classes, and all of
you. I won't be here next year to continue to see this place change
and grow further, but hopefully my passing through has contributed
to what EdUHK continues to become. Thank you, everyone!
