A HEART IS A HEAVY BURDEN

Covered in thousand layers of insecurities and pain,
She still managed to step out of her domain.
She dreams of a world without cages and locks,
Where girls don’t have to face any blocks.
Where people accept freedom with an open mind,
The society doesn’t hold the power to define.
She's a girl with courage of fighting the darkness of nights,
So, she could live the colorful days every bit and byte.
But through her journey …
She mastered the art of hiding her emotions,
No frown nor a tear ever shed ever seen,
Someone who’d cry for being yelled at
Was now a strong flawless queen?
I stared at the numbness,
Wondering what it could have been?
A storm raged on in her eyes,
Trying to break the permanent curse,
Will she win?
She had dreams and a mission filled in her eyes with hope, as she looks up to the sky,
With all the birds flying without any cages or restriction she hopes her life would be like
that one day,
Carefree, happy, and most importantly she wants to be herself.
Hopes were filled in her eyes...
