Forensic Innovation Partnership
Our partnership with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary sees operational police staff located on our campus, supporting education and training for aspiring and serving police officers, police staff and trainees.
The Constabulary’ s scientific support staff and Military Crime Scene Investigators work closely with academics and students to advance forensic education, research and innovation – which has a direct impact on professional forensic practice.
Centre for Simulation in Health and Care
The simulation facilities in our centre are designed to represent current clinical equipment and healthcare environments. Students learn by applying their classroom knowledge to the practical settings – on placement and once they graduate. Simulation facilities include a hospital ward, operating theatre with a Human Patient Simulator, care home area and imaging suite.
Future Technology Centre( FTC)
Work on projects with companies that want to access the Future Technology Centre’ s advanced engineering, science and technology facilities and specialist equipment.
Dental Pre-Clinical Skills Laboratory
Our laboratory takes pre-clinical skills development to the next level for our Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist courses. Each station is equipped with a dental handpiece, suction, overhead dental lamp light and computer monitor. This helps students develop their periodontal, restorative and paediatric dentistry skills.
Portsmouth Elite Athlete Centre( PEAC)
Designed in partnership with industry leader Eleiko, PEAC is the south coast’ s premium strength and conditioning facility. Both our students and elite athletes can develop practical skills using the latest equipment for strength, conditioning and rehabilitation. These include lifting stations and gym machines, plus devices for measuring jumps, force, speed and agility.
