The 800 t / h underground conveyor system will transport ore and waste from two underground ore bins and a waste loading point to the surface for stockpiling . The conveyor will travel downhill before returning uphill for a vertical lift of approximately 66 m . The suspended belt is designed to carry lump sizes as part of regular and reliable operation .
The tyre-mounted radial stacker uses a kingpin design to create a pile of just under 6,500 t without further comminution of the material . TAKRAF ’ s control system will accurately track belt loading over the 6.6 km to separate payload material from waste material at the pile with complete accuracy , ensuring the highest grade ore makes it to the processing plant .
Elsewhere in Mexico , TAKRAF provided limestone stackers and ship loaders in Playa del Carmen , to feed the construction aggregates industry in the US and beyond . The 6,000 t / h equipment was designed to withstand the hurricanes of the Gulf coast , enduring such weather during the construction process without damage or delay .
