news ROOM Self-tinting AGVisor AGV has launched its 'AGVisor' selftinting visor as an accessory for its Pista GP, Corsa and GT-Veloce helmets. The AGVisor is an LCD helmet visor that changes from clear to dark in one second at the touch of a button. It is powered by a small, built-in, rechargeable battery, and can be operated while riding, even when wearing gloves. The LCD technology used in the new option adheres to the visor, also performing an anti-fog function, and a reduced-edge design ensures that visibility is not impaired. The AGVisor can be fully charged in two hours, and when fully charged can be used in dark mode for 12 hours, and for situations when the battery’s charge has been depleted, an innovative Fail Safe system allows the visor to return to clear mode. www.agv.it PARTS AND ACCESSORIES KTM reports +26.9 percent unit sales growth for first quarter KTM have seen sales grow by a massive +26.9 percent in the first three months of 2015, to 41,858 units; that growth is compared to a first quarter of 2014 which was itself the best the Austrian manufacturer had ever recorded. Salon de la Moto, Scooter, Quad & Equipments (to give the show its full name) will be held at the futuristically remodelled Paris Expo Centre at Port de Versailles from December 1st to 6th 2015. Returning in 2011 and 2013 as Salon de la Moto, the expo is now 8 shorter, at 6 days (a decision welcomed by the exhibitor community) and recent attendance figures are said to have seen the event still manage to attract over 200,000 visitors. Many important manufacturer and accessory exhibitors are already confirmed for this year (Harley- INTERNATIONAL DEALER NEWS - APR/MAY 2015 Davidson and Bihr for example); Monday November 30th and Tuesday December 1st (up to 4:00pm) are trade/press preview attendance days. Winning the highest ranked ‘Best of the Best’ award, the Red Dot Design awards are seen as one of the world's most important design recognition programmes. Kellermann launched the unique LED indicator last autumn at the INTERMOT expo in Cologne, Germany, the biggest motorcycle show in the world. Widely regarded as market leaders, the ‘Classic meets Hightech’ LED equipped, bullet shaped indicator features many additional functions as well as great styling. The classic Bullet shape received a fresh interpretation by Kellermann. A real highlight is the newly developed light technology (the Kellermann-HPT) that allows a continuous ring-shaped light to be built in to the outer ring of the lens. Th
