to support digital money. In addition, there have been reports
on the application of blockchain technology in smart cities.
By combining blockchain with Internet of Things technology,
the traceability of fraudulent chains and the notarization of
the whole network information have been realized. In the
field of energy, since the establishment of the world's first
energy blockchain laboratory in May 2016, experts and
scholars on the application of blockchain technology in
China's energy field have made very fruitful research
results [3][4] .Based on the typical characteristics matching
analysis between blockchain and the blockchain energy
network, the application model of the blockchain technology
in the field of energy network is discussed, and the
blockchain application scenarios of the demand side
management, electric energy measurement, market
transaction and auxiliary service are put forward [5][6] . Based
on the theory of Information Physics fusion, the paper puts
forward the application mode of blockchain technology in
the energy Internet [8] . The concept of blockchain 3.0 goes far
beyond the monetary and contractual areas originally
designed, and can be used as an important supporting
technology for complex energy trading contracts [9] .
Abstract—Demand response business is becoming more and
more complicated under the opening of retail side. It involves a
large number of capital flow operations in subsidy settlement,
penalty for breach of contract and so on. It needs a kind of
technical means for effective management and protection.
Based on the possible problems of multi-agent participation in
demand response business, this paper analyzes the matching
point between blockchain technology and demand response
business, and finally designs a multi-agent participation
demand response mechanism. Finally, the prospect of future
research is proposed.

I. I NTRODUCTION
With the opening of the electricity side reform, more and
more subjects are allowed to participate in the electricity
market transaction, such as power grid enterprises, load
aggregator, service providers, general users with distributed
generation [1] . All of these put forward new opportunities and
challenges for the development of demand response business.
In the future energy services, the transaction mode,
dispatching mode and pricing mechanism will change greatly.
The future demand response mechanism will be more large-
scale, decentralized and precise. However, the existing
market mechanism in the actual operation of demand
response business implementation process still has regulatory
problems, like service pricing, the use of special subsidies,
the attribution of fines and other aspects of supervision. If the
centralized control method is still adopted, it will be difficult
to achieve low-cost, large-scale participation in user
interaction when the demand response business is
implemented on a large scale. The key to the future demand
response market is to establish a multi-agent participation,
safe, low-cost, transparent information management platform.
By analyzing and comparing the application of demand
response service in power market and the feature matching of
blockchain technology, this paper designs a demand response
mechanism framework based on multi-party participation,
and adopts the distributed general ledger accounting method,
which can effectively solve the problem of false account and
error account in demand response service and can be easy to
supervise each transaction.
II. THE COMBINATION POINT OF DEMAND RESPONSE AND
BLOCKCHAIN MATCHING
Demand response service is one of the most economical
technical means to meet the real-time reserve capacity of
regional power grid, and even can provide rapid response
service. With the further development of DSM and the
gradual opening of electricity market in China, the future
Blockchain technology is the key technology to solve this
management problem. Since 2015, Blockchain technology
has achieved great success in the field of Internet finance. [2]
Thirteen top banks, including HSBC, Deutsche Bank and
