Evaluate options for additional length with a tee constructed into the bunker complex off the side of # 1 green
Rework the entire tee complex that is shared with # 9 - lower in the landscape , reconfigure the cart paths , and provide ample tee space in a range of locations
Provide ample forward tee space with a good line of attack into the fairway
Eliminate the second bunker on the right in favor of mounding - expand the fairway left and tie it into the bunker - using the topography to setup a wide range of tee options and approach angles
Restore the green to meet the Ross vision - frame the dramatic putting surface with a range of bunkers with differing depths
Tweak the cart path alignment and improve the walk-on to the green surface - evaluate other locations for the shelter
