Of interactive media
You might think that interactive media comes in a very small and constrained amount of
formats, however you could not be more wrong, in todays world the way in which we
store and design interactive media is growing into a great thing, and here we will be looking at some of the ways we do that.
Web - The web is full of interactive media, from videos in which you select options
from to progress to other kinds such as interactive surveys that encourage you to
take part in order to increase productivity and commitment.
CD/DVD - This type of format usually comes into play within interactive media with
games, they are stored on this kind of format when bought in a physical form, however these days you can get them digitally, making this more obsolete from day to
day.
Information kiosks - This type of format is mostly used in public, when people need
to access information in places such as shopping centres, they can access information kiosks in an interactive way in order to allow them to find where they need
to go or to get information on where they are.
Presentations - As I have previously mentioned in this magazine, interactive media is
used in the presentation format a lot in yours and my current generation, this is in
order to give information across in the most interesting way, to various audiences.
Handheld devices - This is a massive and important part of interactive media in the
current generation, handheld devices are everywhere, and they employ interactive
media in almost everything that they do making them very important in the portrayal of interactive media.
