The village of our marionettes Type Description Method This is a method of working with children from 6 to 16 yo. In each group there are 10 children and 3 animators. (psychologist and/or special educator) There are involved both children from Syrian refuges families and children from Gyumri. This contributes to the Syrian children's integration process. They create marionettes from trash (e.g. bottles). After the creation is ready they tell a story about their marionette, and usually it is the story of their life. After sharing their stories they create a house for their marionettes and a village where they will live in. Every gathering involves two families and a volunteer assistant who is there to help to facilitate the meeting and provide language support. The coordinating organization, Slovo 21 from Prague is interested in cooperating with all the countries in EU that hasn’t gotten involved yet.
