As the pioneer of INDECOS, I am proud to mention that we have been able to deliver a tremendous amount of services to the benefit of communities in Galle, Matara and Hambantota districts. Through our yearly evaluation process, we found a high level of effort and good admirable results that we achieved this year. Some of our key projects developed during this year included: Women ' s Entrepreneurship Program, a microcredit program Matara Children ' s Centre, an early childhood development program Community programs in partnership with police stations Advancing Specialized Skills for Economic Transformation( ASSET) in partnership with World University Service of Canada( WUSC) Uniterra placements of Canadian volunteers at INDECOS Music for Youth, a youth program HIV / AIDS awareness, a program with iRoad organization
The government authorities operating in the region, funding agencies, community leaders, and beneficiaries have appreciated the services provided under our respective projects. The sustainability of WEP has become a historical event and a successful dream of ours. I wish to convey my gratitude to the funding agencies who supported our programs including WUSC, Uniterra, Asia Foundation, Helping Hands of Sweden, iRoad, the British High Commission. I would also like to express our sincere appreciation to our Chairman and Executive committee of INDECOS, Uniterra volunteers of WUSC, and all our staff members who have played a dedicated role of the group.
