Pearl has been working at MCC since 2007 as the Centre’ s Manager. She is a special trained teacher for children up to first grade. Prior to her role at MCC, she was a teacher, covering music, dance, art and especially media arts. Within media, she taught students how to reach out to newspapers and local media. She was also involved in literary associations in her community. It was through her close connections with INDECOS and support of MCC donors that lead to her taking on the role of Centre Manager. With thirty-years of experience working with young children, Pearl felt prepared to take on the role of leading a preschool program.
Through her time at MCC, Pearl has especially enjoyed being able to build the space around her through activities like gardening. Not only this, she likes connecting with the parents of her students. Pearl feels that MCC is a safe environment with affordable tuition and with highly qualified teachers to teach the curriculum. In her opinion, " parents enjoy sending their children to MCC for education, connections and discipline." In the future, Pearl hopes that there will be further support for MCC and the preschool through sustained funding and lowered costs to families.
