It is often said, but rarely adhered to, that
everyone is capable of everything, and that it is
simply a matter of application, and I am happy to
say that this has been a philosophy I have
embraced since that day when I convinced my
sales director that I should write about 30 plus
lads giving it large in Margate on a windy, but
thankfully dry September day.
If you are contemplating decorating a room in
your home, why not consider breaking with the
conventional expectations people have of you, get
creative, use a colour that is good for you and not
because your friends might like it.
At a time when I had to downsize where I was
living to help fund my aspirations of becoming a
professional musician, the small bungalow I
bought was seriously conventional and I wanted to
do something with the lounge that would impact
on any visitors I might have. As I think back I had
what could be only described as a eureka moment
as I remember bursting into the kitchen and
saying to my then partner “Deep green walls and
a black carpet!” yes a BLACK carpet! The guy who
came to fit it told us they drew straws as to who
