So you want to eat something that tastes great, has an enormous amount of calories, and is very easy to make. What can you do? Brownies of course! Instead of just getting yourself a pre-mixed box of ingredients that are not that tasty, you can also make them yourself. It's the same amount of work and they taste a 100 times better. It takes you 15 minutes of preparation time.

All you need is:

- 150 grams of butter

- 275 grams of granulated sugar

- 75 grams of cocoa

- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

- 75 grams of flour

- 3 eggs

Kitchen supplies:

- An oven

- A 20 cm diameter square tin

- A bowl

- A pan

- A whisk

You have to do very little work to end up with AMAZING brownies.

Preheat the oven at 160C.

You start with melting the butter in a pan. Once it's fully melted you start adding the sugar. Make sure not to do it too fast so that the sugar has the time to mix with the butter. When you're done adding the sugar you can add the cocoa. Mix the cocoa with the butter mixture and keep stirring until it has mixed. It's not a problem if you can still see the texture of the sugar.

Now that you've mixed those 3 ingredients you empty the pan into a bowl. This is when you add the flour, vanilla essence and the eggs. Start stirring quickly, because otherwise the eggs and flour make it impossible to do so.

When you can't see any traces of the flour and eggs anymore you pour it into the tin, do make sure that you properly greased it.

Put the brownie mixture into the oven for about 30 minutes, afterwards stick a skewer or a knife in the brownie, if there is still some brownie mixture sticking to the skewer put it into the oven for another 5 minutes.

After your brownies are done its best to take them out of the tin immediately and let them cool down. If you eat the brownies when they're still warm you might not want to eat too many of them at a time, even though they taste great of course. This recipe is for 16 brownies, if you want to make a double batch, make sure to double ALL of the ingredients and use a tin of about 28 centimetres in diameter, otherwise they might not cook evenly.
