2/3 – Blood Drive
JSU TMB - The SGA will be hosting a Blood Drive on
Wednesday, Oct. 2 & Thursday, Oct. 3rd. One blood donation can help save up to 3 lives... Be a life-saver! JSU
faculty, staff, and students are all welcome to donate
blood... It takes all types! If you’d like to schedule an

2 – ( Gadsden ) HWY 411 Yard Sale
Annual event begins the Wednesday before the first
Saturday in October! Don’t miss the Yard Sale vendors on US Hwy 411 passing through Etowah County
and Gadsden for approximately 18 miles of road-side
sales.
4 – ( Gadsden ) First Friday
Downtown Gadsden from 6pm to 9pm
5 – ( Gadsden ) – Rock-n-run 15k
YMCA of the Coosa Valley
Choose from 5k or 15k run that will cover the Broad
St Bridge and back plus downtown Gadsden.
8 – 4 Person Scramble
Cider Ridge Golf Club
Shotgun start 12, Lot’s of door prizes and on course
awards. Come support our kids and schools. $60 per

8 – Poetry After Dark

7th Month and 7 always mark the time for completions. You sometimes have to open up your mind and
bear your soul. Oct 8th is the night to express your
deepest and innermost pieces, songs, or musical
talents. We are always looking for Poets, Singers,
and Musicians so please spread the word and invite
your friends and family. Artist’s sign up list at 7:30pm
(Showtime is 8 pm On time).

for Animal Welfare, Inc presents Woof, Wags & Wine
at the Victoria Restaurant, 1604 Quintard Avenue,
Thursday, October 10, 2013 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
with a free glass of champagne and silent auction
followed by a four course dinner by Chef Alan Martin
and a live auction. All proceeds go to the League
for Animal Welfare. Ticket locations are League for
Animal Welfare, Envy Salon, Victoria Restaurant, Shop
Plus and Tyson Fine Wine & Things. Tickets are $65
per person, $60 for two or more people and there are
