T
he Anniston Museum of Natural History’s Winter Market sale returns this
year from Nov. 13-15, showcasing
arts and crafts from creative members of
the community.
There’s a little of everything at the sale, from
jewelry to housewares, soaps and artwork,
with specialty goods like Spicy Kudzu’s soft,
felted soaps sharing space with art like Sarah Cavender’s metalworks and Lynn Phillips’
paintings.
More than 20 vendors will be in attendance this year, including regular favorites
like woodcarver Ray Lockridge and his son,
Adam, furniture by Barnes and Co. and plant-
22
ers by Concrete Creations, who mix function
and form with every batch of cement.
As with every museum sale, make sure to
bring a strong back and a car with some
space for hauling: you’re bound to leave with
something you love.
Museum members can take the very first
pass at the goods on sale during the Museum League’s cocktail reception Nov. 12 from
5:30-7:30 PM in the museum lobby.
The market opens to the public from 10 AM
to 5 PM Nov. 13-14 and 1-5 PM Sunday. ✻
