Cheaha Brewing Art Gallery by Benjamin Nunnally If you’ve been to Cheaha Brewing Company, you know that there’s an artistry to the place. Bobby Darin croons over the radio, singing about a place beyond the sea, putting out a romantic vibe over the wooden bar, high windows and brick walls. The place leaves an impression. The art ranges from the deeply complex, like Liz Mullendore’s intricate, colorful pattern work, to minimalistic, like the abstract art of Lee Jackson, color explosions commemorated on canvas. Kevin Arnberg’s “Corn Maidens” hints at mystic themes, with a trio of crows circling over the three colorful corn ladies. Arnberg takes a different approach to “Bluegrass Breakdown,” a lively piece with a more abstract style that plays with perspective and depth of field. > But it’s not just the building that’s beautiful. Artwork from several great, local artists hangs on the walls, featuring a range of subjects and styles.
