Exhibit at the Botanical Gardens 5 to 8pm - Come join the Museum Complex for the Christmas in the Gardens Walking Tour. Doors! Exhibit is part of this wonderful tour this year. This unique competition exhibition wil be the first ever presented at our community Botanical Gardens; you can participate by decorating a door for the holidays. The entry will be filled with life-sized doors to be decorated by community members, business and groups. All are welcome to participate; advance registration required. Doors! open to the public at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2012 and will be exhibited on Nov 30th, Dec 6-7 and Dec 13-14. Awards will be announced on December 14th. Come visit the exhibit and vote for your favorite “DOOR”. It is just a $1 to vote. Cash awards will be given as determined by the public’s $1 vote. Also, this is a chance to begin a wonderful new holiday tradition with your family as you explore the gardens, grounds and interiors of Anniston Museum, Berman Museum and Longleaf Botanical Gardens. Take part in the “Christmas in the Gardens Walking Tour” on the weekends mentioned above. Admission will be charged on a per vehicle basis. Take part in the Christmas in the Gardens Walking Tour during any of three magical weekends in November and December (November 29–30 and December 6–7; 13–14) between 5–8pm. (Last drive-in admission at 7:30pm. Admission charged on a “per vehicle” basis--$10/passenger car.) Christmas in the Gardens is a walking adventure through a fanciful and whimsical Christmas wonderland! Families will park, then stroll the length of the Museum Complex at their leisure, enjoying live music, fanciful decorations, and a variety of holiday displays, as well as fun activities for the children. Photo opportunities will be available in many areas, so bring your camera for one-of-akind holiday pictures of the family. Holiday decorations and themed displays will delight all ages! Some highlights: Children will enjoy a make and take craft and families can meet some furry, feathery and funny live animals at Anniston Museum! Live out a childhood fantasy target shooting in the Berman Museum’s BB Gun range. Santa himself will be here, so be good, for goodness sakes! Live music and an exhibit of holiday themed doors round out the festivities at the grand opening of the new Botanical Gardens facility. There will be so much to see and do at the Museum Complex’s Christmas in the Gardens Walking Tour–what a wonderful way to spend time with your loved ones, get into the holiday spirit, and make memories that will last a lifetime!
